I design for a variety of businesses—mostly startups, churches, and independent book publishers, but I'm open to all kinds! I've done everything from sermon series to YouTube channels to organic soap logos.

I'm normally booked two to three months in advance, so I would recommend contacting me sooner rather than last minute. Though my actual design process can take just a few weeks, I'm usually juggling half a dozen projects at any given time, which often backs up my schedule. October, December, April, and July are my busiest months.

Having all of your materials ready when you first contact me. This includes knowing all the logo variations you'll need and formats you'll be using. The biggest cause for a slow turnaround is when I'm waiting on different pieces of a project or making micro changes to names and slogans.

When you're ready to start the process, you'll use the form at the bottom of this page to give me details about your specific project. This will help me get an idea of your business and design needs. Once we both agree on price, timeline, and any other details, I'll send you a contract to sign and return to me.

Then I'll get to work designing. I'll send you a draft either in the form of a digital sketch or a rough mockup for you to approve or request revisions. Once you love the design, I'll finalize the main lockup (full logo) and send it back for you to approve. You'll be able to request changes, then I'll finalize the lockup and build out alternate versions, such as varying colors and orientations.

The final logo files will be delivered through a WeTransfer download link and will typically include full lockup, wordmark, and brandmark versions in PDF, PNG, and SVG formats with single color and monochromatic versions.

Change fees are additional costs added to the final total if you as the client want more edits to the design than I've budgeted for. I'm pretty reasonable with revision rounds, but change fees protect both of us from infinite email chains and tweaking designs for the rest of eternity. Change fees typically are an additional $50 and will be discussed and agreed upon before any more changes are made.

To avoid change fees, I recommend taking a day to think over the drafts I send you, then collect a list of revision requests in a single email, rather than sending them one at a time. This will allow me to make all your changes at once and be more efficient.

Absolutely. You're free to do what you like with your final design. The only right I reserve is the right to display the work on my website and use it in my own business marketing.

Note that the most helpful sections for me are the business summary sections and the Logo Example section. Including logo examples from other businesses will help me notice design patterns that you're drawn to, and it'll give me a good starting place for your own business.
